The School's programme consists of two parts:
- Active participation in the teaching programme;
- Writing of an essay on a topic related to the Summer School.
Attendance
Students should attend the entire teaching part of the programme. No exceptions can be granted on this point.
Certificate
In order to obtain the School's Certificate, students must complete both parts of the School's programme. However, it is possible to attend only the teaching part in which case a certificate is not obtained.
Essay
Each participant is required to write an essay, in English or French, in order to obtain the School Certificate. The essay must be submitted by 30th September and will be assessed by the Scientific Committee.
The basic requirements for the essay are those of manuscripts submitted to international learned journals.
The title and the outline of the essays will be discussed and agreed upon during the teaching part of the programme.
Teaching schedule
The teaching section consists of 10 courses which will be taught by academics and/or practitioners. Each course lasts approx. 6 hours.
In addition there will be a few seminars of 1.5 hours.
General daily timetable:
- Morning session: 09.00 - 12.15 (incl. coffee break)
- Lunch: 12.15 - 13.45
- Afternoon session: 13.45 - 17.00 (incl. coffee break)
Reading materials
All participants will by 15th May electronically receive reading materials and documents that will serve as a basis for lectures and discussions. The participants are expected to read the texts before the beginning of the School.
