Research and studies are conducted on issues that are considered to be crucial for countries of the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean and the European Union as well as for migrants themselves, such as the causes and consequences of migration, the forms of migration, the future of migration, the management of migration, and the integration of migrants. Research is applied and policy-oriented, with a view to identifying and analysing emerging questions, and providing support for the definition and monitoring of public policies
